LH-X20 addresses the external copper ring around a tube-and-insert assembly. The jaws act on the ring in its specified position. Ear clamps and cold-expansion reinforcing rings use different joining principles. Retain tubing and fitting-system information rather than only a nominal size.
LH-X20 information focuses on the external copper ring of a PEX connection. Select tubing, insert fitting and ring within an accepted system before checking tooling size. Equal nominal sizes do not establish interchangeability between systems or tools.
Stainless ear clamps need ear closure, cold expansion expands the tube, and copper press fittings use their own profiles. These differ from this copper-ring workflow. Permitted media, temperatures and pressures come from system documents.
