Intended use and verification
Wire-rope swaging deforms a metal sleeve with a specified groove to retain the rope in an intended termination. Tasks include forming an eye, a stop or another end arrangement. Sleeve, rope and tool are a combination; rope diameter alone does not establish sleeve material, groove or pressing method.
LIHENGRIX LH-W08 addresses sleeve termination work. Distinguish cable organization, non-load-bearing restraint and terminations carrying an actual load. These need different component selection and acceptance. A tool description is not a load rating for a complete rigging assembly.

An eye termination routes the rope through the sleeve in a defined arrangement. Whether a thimble is needed depends on the application and component scheme. It supports the contact area and reduces direct bending over a small attachment, but does not independently establish load capacity.
Tail projection, sleeve position and the number and order of presses belong to the selected sleeve system instructions. Different sleeve constructions may use different locations. For coated rope, establish whether and how the coating is prepared.
A gauge checks its defined formed dimensions; it does not identify rope construction, sleeve material or suitability for an application. Failure to gauge may reflect a wrong combination, groove condition or process issue. Passing does not waive the other requirements.
For lifting, fall protection or critical load-bearing uses, a general tool presentation cannot replace system selection, design and acceptance. Even in ordinary installation, consider sharp rope ends and force direction, and do not assign loads to an unrated combination.
Keep grooves clean so debris is not pressed into the sleeve. Check tool condition after a drop, chipped groove or abnormal closure. Maintain and adjust the tool by its instructions rather than by feel.
Store sleeve materials and sizes separately with their original identification. Mixed sleeves may be difficult to distinguish visually. Components without a recoverable identity are unsuitable for termination work requiring traceability.
