Overview

A wire-rope sleeve swaging tool focused on matching rope construction, sleeve material and crimp cavity at rope-end connections.

A tool direction for wire-rope sleeves, with attention to rope construction, sleeve material and the complete termination combination.

Features & working characteristics

Sleeve matching

Review sleeve shape and material alongside rope construction rather than selecting by appearance alone.

A defined connection part

Keep rope-end terminations distinct from cable retention performed with stainless tie tools.

Connected selection information

The model, connection part and application criteria sit in a shared reference linked to application pages and technical articles.

Product profile

Model
LH-W08
Product family
Wire-rope swaging
Application direction
Rope-end preparation for mechanical assemblies and non-load-bearing display connections.
Selection inputs
Rope construction / Sleeve shape and material / Intended use and verification
Connection part
Wire rope and metal sleeves; intended use and load requirements belong to the complete connection specification.
Scope and limitations
Load-bearing, lifting or life-safety connections require a validated solution for that purpose; tool appearance does not establish suitability.

A closer look

From rope to sleeve termination

LH-W08 addresses metal-sleeve forming. Select sleeve material, rope construction and tool groove together rather than finding a sleeve that merely fits the rope diameter. Distinguish eye terminations from other arrangements; routing, tail position and accessories depend on the selected connection scheme.

Press location and dimensional inspection

Match the sleeve to its groove, stabilize the rope and follow the specified pressing areas and sequence. Use the corresponding gauge and method afterwards. A visually similar gauge slot is not a substitute, and a dimensional pass does not independently assign a load rating to the termination.

Specify the complete termination

Record rope, sleeve, thimble and attachment as well as the tool. A load-bearing termination needs components and acceptance defined by an applicable scheme; the name or image of a hand swager does not establish lifting or personnel-protection suitability.

CARE & ORGANIZATION

Care & storage

  1. 01

Keep working surfaces and connection parts clean; check for visible damage, looseness and unusual wear before use.

  2. 02

Follow the tool and matched connection-part documentation for use, maintenance and adjustment.

  3. 03

Store away from moisture and impact, keeping accessories and model references with the tool.
