Wire-rope sleeve connections
This direction concerns the matched rope end and sleeve. Rope construction, sleeve material and crimp cavity need joint review; a tight-looking joint does not establish load capacity.
Stainless cable-tie tensioning
Tie tools address locking construction, tensioning and excess-tail handling. Tie width, material and the retained object affect selection; greater tension is not a universal objective.
Establish the intended use first
Document the two tasks separately by connection part and use. Load-bearing, lifting or life-safety connections require a validated solution for that purpose; concept imagery cannot establish suitability.

Plan restraints and service access together
Cable organization must preserve identification, bends and service access as well as appearance. Arrange restraints with routing, supports and interface exits so loads do not concentrate on terminations. Follow equipment requirements around moving sections instead of rigidly tightening a route that needs movement.
Inspect metal-tie tails
After tensioning, review bundle compression; after cutting, inspect the edge and remaining projection. Edge orientation affects technician contact and rubbing against adjacent cables. Remove metal offcuts and retain material and size information for later service.
Rope terminations are not cable ties
Rope-sleeve forming and tie tensioning are different tasks. A rope termination involves sleeve, groove, rope construction and acceptance requirements. A shared restraint purpose does not merge their instructions. Load-bearing ends also need defined design and component conditions; tool size and appearance cannot establish capacity.
