Cutting addresses the whole cable
Cable cutters sever cable. Check conductor material, construction and diameter before selection; a tool intended for copper or aluminium is not automatically suitable for steel-reinforced materials.

Stripping addresses insulation
A stripping tool removes insulation for the next connection. Insulation material, layer construction and conductor type need review, with preparation requirements taken from terminal or equipment documentation.
Crimping addresses the connection part
A matched jaw acts on the terminal to form the conductor connection. Selection returns to the specific terminal system; a stripping feature does not establish universal crimping capability.
Organize the kit around tasks
LH-C32 identifies the cutting direction and LH-S06 stripping, with crimping directions linked by terminal category. This structure supports selection and does not replace operating instructions.
Treat jacket and core insulation separately
A multicore jacket surrounds separately insulated conductors. Jacket preparation must preserve those inner layers; each core then needs the strip length for its terminal. Shielded cables add an interface-specific shield treatment. A round external shape does not justify one cutting depth for every layer.
Why the cut face matters
Splayed strands, angled ends and crushed insulation make stripping and terminal insertion inconsistent. First review cutter purpose, cable material and alignment. Do not repeatedly manipulate damaged bare strands to disguise the defect. Reprepare nicked or incomplete conductors according to the work procedure.
First-piece and wire-change checks
Check complete insulation removal, terminal-appropriate exposed length and strand condition on the first sample. Revisit them after changes in batch, insulation or conductor area. Reviewing the prepared wire with its terminal reveals more than measuring exposed length alone. Remove clippings before they contaminate the next assembly.
